What this site learns
from your visit.
bohaus.be is the site of BOHAUS, Perrestraat 70A, 9550 Herzele, Belgium (hallo@bohaus.be). We measure how the site is used, to make it better and to see which work people come for. We do it ourselves: the data stays on bohaus.be, at our host Combell in Belgium, and is never sold, shared or used for advertising.
Every visit, without cookies
Nothing is stored on your device for this. For each visit we keep:
- the page, and where you came from (the previous site, or a campaign in the link);
- your browser’s language and timezone (from which we guess the country), the kind of device, browser and system, and the size of the screen;
- what you do on the page: which parts of the tour you reach and for how long, the switches and films you use, the live models you touch, clicks on our e-mail address or phone number;
- how fast the page loads, and errors it runs into.
To count visitors per day, the server turns your IP address into a code with a key that changes every day; the key of the day before is thrown away, so the codes cannot be linked to you or to each other. Your IP address itself is not kept.
Only if you say yes
On the home page we ask whether we may record your visit. If you say yes:
- your browser keeps a random number (in its local storage), so we see that you came back, how often, and how you first found us;
- we record the path of your visit: how far you are in the tour from moment to moment, where the pointer moves and what you click, so we can play the visit back and see where the site works and where it doesn’t. We do not record what you type, nor anything outside this site.
You can change your mind here at any time.
Your choice on this browser: not made yet.
Client login
Only when a client signs in does the site set a cookie: one, for the client login alone, to keep them signed in. It ends when they sign out or close the browser, or after 12 hours unused. To pause a visitor after five wrong passwords, the server keeps a code made from the IP address for a day, not the address itself.
How long
Recorded paths are deleted after 90 days, everything else after 13 months.
Others
Everything the site shows, its typefaces included, comes from bohaus.be itself. No other service sees your visit.
Your rights
You may ask what we have about your visits, and have it deleted: write to hallo@bohaus.be and give the code below, so we can find them. You may also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
